Status Paper on Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance (I/M) Program in Nepal

This status paper is a part of “Clean Air and Blue skies” Exchange Project Phase 4 by Clean Air Network Nepal, Clean Energy Nepal, Clean Air Asia and Fredkorpset Norway. The purpose of this study is to observe and summarize the Vehicle Inspection and Monitoring (I/M) program in Nepal and to provide recommendations to strengthen the I/M Program.

Public Transport Survey Report_Kathmandu Valley

This report illustrates the public transport service and quality in Kathmandu Valley. The survey also intended to include elements of travel pattern i.e. trip origin and destination and mode of choices. The study was also focused on the review of existing acts, policies and institutional arrangement with respect to existing public transport system.

Improving walking and cycling environment is important in ensuring the equitable access to the mobility as well sustainable urban transportation for the future generations. The policy brief highlights the benefits and exisiting scenario of non-motorized transport (NMT) system in Kathmandu Valley and provides specific recommendations to improve the walking and cycling environment in the city.
