Team Of Nepali Women To Climb The Highest Peaks On Each Of The Seven Continents; Clean Energy Nepal to make their climb carbon neutral
In May 2008, a team of inspiring young women became the most successful women’s expedition ever to summit Mount Everest. They are now in the Snowy Mountains and plan to climb to the top of Australia and Mount Kosciuszko on Wednesday, July 7.

Environment Wins Eco-Football Match 2010
Eco-Football Match 2010 held between Green Team (Celebrities, Public figure and Artists) Vs Environment Team (Environmentalists, Entrepreneurs and Policy makers) on the occasion of World Environment Day 5th June was won by Environment Team on penalty shoot out after the match ended in 1-1 draw at full time. The defending champion Green team was captained by Yogeshwor Amatya and Environment team was captained by Pankaj K.C.
Eco- Football 2010 “Goal – Against Climate Changeâ€
In order to mark the world Environment Day 2010, NYCA and CEN is organizing “Eco-Football Match 2010†on 5th June, 2010 at ANFA complex, Satdobato. The Eco-Football match will take place between team A: comprising of policy makers, environmentalists and media and Team B: comprising of celebrities and artists. The main purpose of the event is to bring unity among people of different areas and sectors into one area and create awareness against climate change.
Interaction Program On “Study Of Indoor/Outdoor Air Pollution In Kathmanduâ€
The interaction program is being organized on the topic “Study of Indoor/Outdoor Air Pollution in Kathmandu†along with documentary show on 21st May, 2010 at ENPHO hall, Thapagaun as a part of regular “Green Discussion†organized by NYCA and GYN with the support of Clean Energy Nepal, CANN and ENPHO.
AQM Researcher’s Training Held
The students were trained to handle the equipments for air quality monitoring in a two days training organized by Clean Energy Nepal (CEN) and Clean Air Network Nepal (CANN) in coordination with Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong. The trained students will work as Research Assistant assisting on study of indoor and outdoor air quality at six monitoring station and selected residential building in Kathmandu valley starting from 15th May.

When the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) recently closed the Hanumandhoka Durbar Square from all kinds of vehicles, this invited many scrutinies. This is part of the government’s initiative to preserve the monument zones and reestablish the World Heritage Site as pedestrian friendly area.
